oh and I forgot to mention.....

My new Media Recorder rocks! capture is a doddle and the unit is tiny :) not only that it arrived in 2 days from the US and within 10 minutes I was recording TV programmes to watch on the train. Yahoo!! - Savastore could learn from them how to keep customers happy!

Toast!

Just emailed Savastore asking for a delivery date for my non existent DVR-390H 20GB Multimedia Player with Camera or my money back. Waste of time these people - We hear that consumer sales are down? These people seem to be doing all they can to piss me off and make me never want to use them again? I suggested that if they don't respond I will issue a summons for the amount they owe. ;-) let's hope somebody with give the useless support department a slap around the ear and remind them who pays their wages?

I am getting angry ... very angry .....

and am seriously considering beating some eggs or battering some fish!

Still no news from Watford about my naff Vivitar unit, another email today - They have had it since the 13th May "testing". What exactly are they testing? I recorded 3 films on it all with out of sync sound? Seems to me a stalling tactic. I will give them another couple of days then it's issue the legal letter time. How annoying. I want to spend money with these people but they seem to be doing all they can to drive me away?

And it's even more windy than ever!

No News is No News

Had to email Savastore (Watford Electronics) about my returned Vivitar 390H which they have had for over a week and no news as to when I will get one that actually does what it is supposed to do. It's good though that I can log into my account each day and check the status is still unknown Funny thing though the not so good review I posted hasn't been published but the "excellent groovy" one has?? hmm come to think of it I posted a less than complimentary review of the Novatech 40gb external mini USB hard drive which whilst a great little unit requires 2 usb connection on some PC's (power drain) and this isn't mentioned. The more suspicious amongst us may suggest that companies are only posting pleasing reviews.... so much for freedom of speech.

M$N Sux

Thanks you tosspots for clearing out my hotmail account - waste of time w@nkers - thank god I have a gmail account mirror HOTMAIL was great until M$ took it over and basically did to it what they did to operating systems, office products and web browsers fill it full of crap nobody wants or uses and cripple it at every possible moment. Use the alternatives for a virus/trojan free, paper-clip man free (what were they thinking?) and fast life.

Am off to Sunny Brighton next week for a couple of days of coffee, buffet lunches and a bit of sneaky beaky training.

Joke of the month was seeing Microsoft at INFOSEC ... well there is a contradiction if ever I saw one!

Next time I am cycling into the wind I am gonna hold my breath!!!! ;)

White Van Man

No update on the Vivitar - despite them saying send it back Savastore Tech Support want to mull it over (perhaps to take it out of the returns period??)

Today whilst cycling back from work I was cut up by a White Van in West Worthing which proceeded to drift into the cycle lane cutting me up. As I passed him and gesticulated that perhaps he should move over, he honked me!! Yes I was in the wrong because he was cutting me up? It's a bloke thing I am ashamed to say. He, like many other Sun Readers think they are always in the right and everyone else is getting in their way. Now I am not saying all White Van Man drivers are selfish ignorant drivers... no ... only about 99% of them.
